Abiding

Abiding

“You might be doing a ton for Jesus, but if you’re not doing this everything you’re doing is worthless.”

In this week’s devotional, I talk about abiding in Christ. In John 15:5 Jesus says, “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him bears much fruit; for without Me, you can do nothing.” That means that if you don’t have an abiding relationship with Jesus everything you do comes to nothing. Life has never been about what you do for Jesus but how well connected you are with him. According to Jesus, if you’re doing tons for Jesus but aren’t connected to him everything you’re doing is worthless. How do you abide? Pastor Scott shares an acronym to help you: Always Be In a Direct Encounter with Jesus, which is also known as practicing God’s presence. He also shares a great tip on how to ABIDE throughout your day. For more information on the School of Ministry visit i195.org.
