In this video I share the single biggest thing that has transformed my ability to experience closeness with God.

It is easy to get down on yourself and get caught in the trap of self judgment and condemnation. When we do that we end up keeping God at a distance but what we really need is for Him to be close to us, tell us that we are loved and reaffirm His relationship with us.

In this video I share a powerful tool from my book, Revolutionary Love, that will help transform your mindset when you’re walking down the self-judgment road. It will help you draw closer to God in those times so you can receive what you really need, more of Him. This principle has radically transformed my experience with God and I know that it can do the same for you!

Before you go, I’d like to hear from you. Please leave me a comment about changing your paradigm regarding confession. Or I’d love to hear from you if you have found any other useful techniques to overcome self judgment and condemnation. God bless and I pray that you begin to experience God’s Revolutionary Love in your life!

  1. I’ve often struggled with never being “good enough,” which has led to a performance based mindset when it comes to different areas of my life, including my relationship with God. I’ve never been comfortable with failure, until I began to learn the truth you mentioned in regards to His revolutionary love towards us. There is so much freedom in knowing that I am loved, simply because God is love. In His love, I have the freedom to fail because He has already won. I’ve finally learned the beauty of failing forward… Thanks again for sharing!

  2. One of the most life changing things in my relationship with God was understanding His unconditional love and grace in my life. It has made me a more thankful person. It has also freed me to not strive after trying to be good enough or doing things to earn Gods love. Thank you for sharing this!

  3. You hit it on the head. This is a common battlefield in my mind and many others. It is also common tactic of the enemy to get us out of grace and under the law. This always leads me to run from God not to God which only makes things worse. I appreciated your truth that trying harder is simply a illusion and puts us under the law. Thank you Scott for this video helping me remember Gods grace leading to greater praise not condemnation. The truth sets us free!

    1. Thanks for you encouragement, DB. The truth about confession is that is should lead us into a deeper experience of God’s grace and if it’s not then we are doing something wrong! Grace is everything for us.

  4. Thank you for sharing . It’s a good reminder, even though we might think we know His love, forgiveness and grace just by where we stand now as to before , we get caught up and default back to that performance cycle, which I dislike so much , and most of the time , you don’t even realize your doing it . This video brings me back to the heart of it all , in its simplicity , His true love for us, that as humans we can’t fully grasp . It’s good to meditate on this , makes you snap out of that hamster wheel, sometimes your going so fast that you don’t even realize your really not going anywhere . Thanks again !
